Live abroad and gain the international internship experience you need to get hired in today’s increasingly globalized economy. You have your very own set of talents, experiences, and personality traits that no one else can exactly duplicate, but how do you prove that to employers? An internship is a great opportunity to gain work experience and working in a new environment enhances those professional skills with attributes of adaptability and self-reliance. Global Experiences’ programs provide the opportunity for participants to have the overseas adventure they want while simultaneously getting the experience they need. It’s the best of both worlds!
Global Experiences offers internship programs lasting between 8 and 15 weeks in nearly every career field imaginable. Along with a full-time internship, interns are provided with central accommodation, cultural events and day trips, professional networking events, and on the ground support.

Every detail of our programs is carefully selected based on our years of experience and knowledge of our host locations. An internship should be hands-on, challenging, and eye-opening, right? And living abroad should be exhilarating and fun! We get that. Couple our carefully curated programming with our award winning professional career coaching, and you have an international internship program unlike any other.

Global Experiences' Internships program in Milan, Italy:

If you're looking for a slow pace and an "old world" Mediterranean lifestyle, look elsewhere. While Rome is Italy's capital and home for national politics, Milan is indisputably the economic capital and financial center. Like any big city full of busy, hard working people, Milan is not short on fun things to see and do, as well as delicious traditional Italian dining. Use its efficient public transportation to traverse this vast city while exploring its seemingly endless museums and historic churches and cathedrals. Being the business hub of Italy, many conventions, fairs, and trade shows take place in the city throughout the year, so it is a fantastic place for professional networking.

The dynamic city of Milan is fast-paced, full of ideas, money, fashion, food and glamour. If you're seeking an exciting internship that will dive deep into the world of fashion or marketing, a Global Experiences internship in Italy, more specifically an internship in the capitol of Lombardy, is for you. Simply put, Milan is to Italy as New York City is to America. It's the driving force of Italian design and business. Constantly looking towards the future, Milan is where ideas are cultivated, and revolutionary trends are created. In terms of international internship locations, Milan is a great differentiating choice for your resume, as you learn to work in the Italian business culture, develop language skills, and make connections in one of the world's great global business cities.

Global Experiences Milan offers three unique opportunities for internships in Milan. The 8-week Milan summer program and 12-week fall/spring programs are constructed to work within all of our interns' busy schedules. Each provide interns with language training upon arrival, and innovative opportunities for interactive internships.

Housing: Milan is a large European city with most residents living in apartments and many of the homes being over 100 years old. Housing is located close to public transport lines so that participants can easily travel around the city as needed.

Interns can expect to live in a shared bedroom in either a shared apartment or a student residence with other participants on the Global Experiences program, or other students attending language or study programs in the city. Housing options are dependent on the program start date.

Accommodations are fully furnished, with a shared kitchen and the necessary amenities, including Wi-Fi. Students may share a room with a person of the same sex; however, matches are made based on the roommate survey. If you have any special housing needs, please mention this to a GE staff member at your time of application, and we will discuss the options available.
