Study for a Semester in the UK!

Institution

The University of Central Lancashire is one of the largest universities in the U.K., yet remains committed to widening access and maintains close links with industry and commerce. Contained on one site, the main Preston city center campus offers excellent facilities including modern teaching accommodations and high-quality residence halls.

Location

The university's main campus is located in Preston, in the northwest of England. Preston is a vibrant, cosmopolitan city with lively nightlife and a buzzing arts scene. It is less than one hour from Manchester and Liverpool and within thirty minutes of Blackpool.

Students are able to apply for the ISEP Exchange or ISEP Direct program. The major different between these two programs is how fees are structure. On the ISEP Exchange program students pay Appalachian tuition and fees plus the ISEP Full Exchange Fee. On the ISEP Direct program students will be billed the ISEP Direct program fee. Non-resident students should check to see if the ISEP Direct cost will be less than Appalachian out of state tuition rates. Students looking at ISEP Direct options should also consider applying as a fee paying applicant on one of our UK exchange programs.

ISEP Chance of Placement - Fair (students may want to have another ISEP exchange program with a Good or better chance of placement as a backup)

Academic Calendar

  • Fall Semester: Early September to Mid January
  • Spring Semester: Mid January to Early May

Housing

Students will stay in university arranged housing.

Students participating on the ISEP Exchange program option will pay the ISEP Full Exchange Program Fee to Appalachian and will not pay housing or meal costs to the host university.
