Radboud University is a truly international institution with students from all over the world. The Radboud Summer School is intended for both international and Dutch students and includes a full range of 40 different courses at the Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD level. All courses are taught in English by the excellent and inspiring academics of Radboud University. Whether you’re looking to explore new scientific areas, expand your knowledge of your field, follow a preparatory course or learn Dutch, the Radboud Summer School offers it all.
Nijmegen is a municipality and a city in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is situated on the Waal river, close to the German border. Nijmegen is among the three oldest cities in the Netherlands, and in 2005, celebrated 2,000 years of existence. The municipality is part of the "Stadsregio Arnhem-Nijmegen", a metropolitan area with an approximate total of 736,107 inhabitants.
- The Radboud Summer School dates will vary by course. The summer school generally starts in early July and ends by mid August.
Radboud University will arrange housing for summer school participants. The rooms differ from each other but all meet the following minimum criteria: Single room, Furnished, Shared Kitchen and Bathroom, Internet Access). Housing may be a 30 minute bike ride from campus.

Students are encouraged to start planning for their study abroad program costs well in advance. Please use the Student Financial Planning Worksheet to help estimate your anticipated expenses and your anticipated financial resources. When planning for estimated additional costs students are encouraged to research currency conversion rates.

Each semester OIED offers a variety of different scholarship opportunities for students. Scholarship awards range from $250 to $2000.

Renowned academic staff from Radboud University, Radboud University Medical Centre and some of its international partners will offer 40 carefully selected courses that will inspire students and researchers and provide them with the opportunity to extend their network. The courses are intended for international and Dutch students at Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD level. Some courses also accept postdocs and professionals. How to ApplyApplications are accepted on a rolling basis and some programs may fill up before the listed deadline. Each year applications for Fall, Spring, and Summer will open up on August 1st. Once open the deadline will be listed below and an Apply Now button will be available at the top and bottom of this page. Most applications will have a 2 part application process so students are encouraged to complete their OIED application well before the listed deadline.
