Institution

Housed in the University of Salamanca, Cursos Internacionales offers a wide variety of courses and study programs year-round. The Cursos Internationales summer program provides opportunities for students to study Spanish in programs ranging from two week programs to six week programs. Spanish is offered at all levels and students can incorporate aspects of Spanish culture, history, and art into their curriculum.

Location

Salamanca is an ancient Celtic city in northwestern Spain and serves as the capital of the Province of Salamanca in the community of Castile and León. Its Old City was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988. With a metropolitan population of 228,881 in 2012 according to the National Institute of Statistics (INE), Salamanca is the second most populated urban area in Castile and León. Salamanca is also considered to be one of the most important university cities in Spain as it supplies 16% of Spain's market for the teaching of the Spanish language.

Students interested in intensive Spanish language at the upper levels should look at the Spanish Department's summer program in Madrid (details coming soon).
