Study in Sweden!

Institution

Founded in 1971, Luleå University of Technology is one of 12 higher education institutions in Sweden with a fully developed research organization. Students benefit from excellent laboratory facilities, including the high power laser laboratory, electron microscopes, HIP and RBSN equipment, acoustic and robotics laboratories, deep-drilling equipment and heavy-load laboratories, and a mineral surface reaction laboratory. The main campus features a new library, student computer centers in all university buildings, a sports hall and a language laboratory. The school of music at the Piteå campus is housed in a new building equipped with three organ auditoriums, concert hall and state-of-the-art sound engineering labs. For sports and outdoor enthusiasts, Scandinavia's best class ski slopes are directly adjacent to the university campus.

Location

Luleå University of Technology's main campus is located approximately three miles from downtown Luleå. The city center of Luleå is located on a peninsula where the Lule River flows into the Gulf of Bothnia. Founded in 1621, the city is the administrative center of Sweden's most northern province. It has a lively cultural life and is the home of nationally elite hockey and basketball teams.
