Study for a Semester or Year in France!
Institution
Université Savoie Mont Blanc is a medium-sized university with three campuses. Explore Chambéry, a gateway city to the French Alps, with its historical buildings, museums, pedestrian squares and streets with colorful café terraces, and world-famous opportunities for skiing and water sports.
The Université de Savoie offers a complete range of ISEP Exchange and Direct possibilities taught in French and English and provides a full and exciting program of complementary cultural excursions and activities!
Locations
Chambéry is about three hours from Paris and the Mediterranean coast. Tourists enjoy the area for its quality of life, magnificent natural surroundings, and history and heritage. Chambéry was the capital of the former Duchy of Savoie. Like Annecy 50 kilometers away, it combines the charm of an old city with the vibrancy of a modern economy.
Le Bourget campus is situated in Le Bourget-de-Lac, just a short 15 minute shuttle ride from the center of Chambéry. Students can take the shuttle or ride bikes on the bike path to town. Student residences and dining halls are located right on campus. Students have access to the gorgeous Lac du Bourget (Lake Bourget) just a short walk from the dormitories.
The Annecy-le-Viex campus is situated on the northeastern shore of the gorgeous Lake Annecy. Annecy-le-Viex is located a short 3 km away from the center of Annecy, the largest city of Haute-Savoie. Annecy is known for its charming city streets, proximity to lake and winter sports and its cultural heritage dating back to the 10th century. Students have access to dining facilities and student residence halls directly on campus.
Students are able to apply for the ISEP Exchange or ISEP Direct program. The major different between these two programs is how fees are structure. On the ISEP Exchange program students pay Appalachian tuition and fees plus the ISEP Full Exchange Fee. On the ISEP Direct program students will be billed the ISEP Direct program fee. Non-resident students should check to see if the ISEP Direct cost will be less than Appalachian out of state tuition rates.
