Founded in 1585, the University of Graz is one of Austria’s largest and distinguished academic institutions. With more than 32,500 students and 4,300 employees, the university contributes significantly to the vibrant life of the Styrian capital.
Graz, the second largest city in Austria, is located in the southeastern province of Styria and is called the green heart of Austria because of its extensive forests. Graz has many parks and cultural activities, and provides easy access to sports such as skiing. A popular event is the annual Steirischer Herbst (Styrian Autumn), which encompasses a number of musical, theatrical and literary performances as well as accompanying lectures and exhibitions.
Students on the Graz program will stay at university arranged housing.
Students participating on the ISEP Exchange program option will pay the ISEP Full Exchange Program Fee to Appalachian and will not pay housing or meal costs to the Austrian university.
